Can wal-mart tell other people about my felony?

can they tell other employees that i didn't get hired cause of wats on my background check? I have a felony and i kno thats why they didn't hire me but ive been hearing that one of the managers has told his employees abouts on my background and my felony..Can they do that? I thought that was confidential info???
