What is the name of the Disney television movie about a young guy that has magic skill?

What is the name of the Disney Channel television movie about a young guy that has a magic skill and he learned from Houdini? He got a girlfriend then later he broke up with her because he thought his gf was lieing when she told him that a bad man is using him to claim his power through a ring given by the bad man. At about the falling action of the movie, it is seen that the young guy can levitate a heavy metal thing but his gf come to his rescue because he might be killed if he loses his power controlled by the bad man via the ring he wore. This movie played around the year 2002 - 2004 i believe, i cant remember the title of this show so I need ur help to find out so I can make a research lol thanks!
