Is this normal in a relationship....?

Well, the past it the past but I understand how you may think that he is still lying. Although if you really love him you should believe him (unless you have proof). I would stay with him because he obviously loves you if he came back but if something like what happened before happens again I would advise you to end it once and for all!.. I hope I helped!...
